St. Cloud Garden Club

The Garden Club meets on the second Saturday of every month from October thru May 11:00am – 3:00pm in the Cypress Room (B Hall). The covered dish luncheon starts at 11:30 AM, the program begins at 12:15 PM to 3:00 PM. Speakers each month cover various topics of interest generally related to horticulture. Visitor are welcome.

The Club was founded in 1952, the goals being to develop advancement in gardening and city beautification. Each year a flower show is held for the purpose of educating and stimulating the public to beautify their own property as well as providing an outlet for creative expression in flower arranging. The annual flower show at the Senior Center on the second weekend in April is open to the public.

The Club also hosts an annual plant sale to raise money for nonprofit organizations in the city and the county. (Watch this web site and the local newspapers for time and place.) In the past few years donations have been made to the St. Cloud Food Pantry, the 4-H Clubs of Osceola County, the VFW for supplies for veterans with cancer as well as soldier overseas and horticulture related projects when they arise. The concrete planter and barrels in downtown St. Cloud were donated by the Club many years ago.
