The class is taught by Glenda Brown 407 957-7738 or cell phone 407 744-3892. The donation is $1.00 per session. There is a workshop on the 2nd Friday each month from 1:00 to 2:30 PM.
The Smith and Western Club (Advanced) meets Friday evening in either "A" or "B" hall and is led by Gail Smith 407 408-5039. The donation is $2.00 per session.
Line dancing is thriving in our Senior Center. In the past our dancers have performed at the Osceola County Rodeo and at several assisted living facilities in the area.
All ages are welcome. Many people belong to both clubs.
Line dancers make up about 70% of the Saturday night dance attendees.
English Country Dancing

English Country Dancing was brought to our country when it was colonized in the 1600's. It is the forerunner of barn dancing and ultimately American Square Dance, which is the official folk dance of the USA. At our English Country Dances, we learn and dance the original historic dances brought from England, as well as those dances written in the same style since the founding of our country. Since it is a communal type of dance, no partner is necessary. At the Senior Center "A" Hall, we dance on the second Saturday from 3-6 PM. We have live music played by local English Country Dance Bands. The donation is $5.00 per person or $5.00 per couple. We ask the participants bring a snack or drink to share during breaks. In May we hold our annual English Country Dance Ball. See the special event schedule for time and place. For this event we dance in costume. An audience is welcome. Call Steve Kehr 407 847-6055 for more information.
Let's Dance - Ball Room Dancing
We meet in "A" hall, Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The concept is that more experienced dancers will teach those with a wish to learn the basics. Initial instruction will be from a professional dance teacher or a video. Important concepts like leading and following are empasized. An orderly change of partners will be used to insure that men can lead and women can follow. Dances to be taught are Waltz, Rhumba, Fox Trot, Cha-Cha, Tango, Swing and Bolero. The cost is $1.00 per session. Call Sheila Lauer at 407 892-5011 for more information. Click here for more information
Motivator Square Dance Club

The Motivator A2 APD Club was formed in 1989 by 22 dancers. We met at various workshop groups looking for a common place to meet and dance. Our first caller was a gentleman who had recently retired to this area and offered to call for us without remuneration. We danced at the original Senior Center until the new building was completed in February 2003. We dance every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 2:00PM from the 3rd week of October through April. Our mission is to provide fun, fellowship and low impact aerobic exercise for A2 dancers who live and visit Central Florida. Our beautiful facility with its "floating" oak floor is a great plus for any dancer. Bring a snack and enjoy the fun.

Call Art Pepkie at 407 344-9260 or Bivian Williford at 407 892-9665 for more information.
